The first day I arrived in Chicago was for my orientation at the University of Chicago. I had never been to a big city before – much less one hundreds of miles away from my home in Florida. The first-year students were taken on a cruise on the river that evening. It was a cold night, but the water rippled, the huge skyscraper lights sparkled, and we all stood in the wind, on the verge of a new start.
This poster honors that feeling, those years ago huddled on the deck of a boat in my favorite city.
